VSM CLASS 2013
Handgun class
This class is a course for handgun shooters and is designed specifically for those who have not had any formal instruction or those who wish a refresher class. Topics covered include the following: safety, stance, grip, sight alignment and trigger control. Familiarization with their service pistol includes field stripping and maintenance. In addition to this, other topics that are covered include reloads, draw, and introduction to different skill drills including dry fire and bulls eye shooting.

- Class size: Limited
Weapon & Gear Class Requirements:
- Eye and Ear Protection (electronic hearing protection is preferred)
- Serviceable handgun of at least 9mm Para caliber
- Serviceable holster
- Minimum one double magazine pouch / Ability to carry minimum of two magazines
- Minimum of three serviceable magazines (5 is better)
- 350 rounds of ammunition
- Suitable range wear depending on the season
- Good attitude

VSM carbine class
Topics covered include carbine safety, stance, zeroing sights, sight alignment and trigger control. Familiarization with their carbine topics includes field stripping and maintenance. Other subject matter that is covered includes reloads, presentation, strong side & weak side shooting, shooting positions, use of cover, and introduction to different skill drills including dry fire and bulls eye shooting. Malfunction drills and shooting on the move. Timed fire drills and evaluations based on class skill level.

Weapon & Gear Class Requirements:
Carbine:
- Serviceable duty grade carbine
- Serviceable sling (tactical type preferred.)
- Minimum of 5 serviceable carbine magazines
- Optics – (Optional, but highly suggested)
- Minimum 1 carbine magazine pouch - or method to carry at least two spares magazine(s)
Handgun:
- Serviceable handgun of at least 9mm Para caliber
- Serviceable holster
- Minimum one double magazine pouch / Ability to carry minimum of two magazines
- Minimum of three serviceable magazines (5 is better)
MISC:
- Eye and ear protection (electronic hearing protection is preferred)
- Suitable range wear depending on the season
- Weapon cleaning & lubrication supplies
- Good attitude
Zeroed Weapons: 50-yard carbine preferred, but others are acceptable if you have a good reason why and understand it. Know your handguns zero at various ranges.
Ammo Requirements:
- 350 rounds of carbine ammunition
- 50 rounds of handgun ammunition

Superior Firearms was given the honor to build the handguns for the winners of the handgun portion of the 2009 International Sniper Competition. In the photo above Joe and Barry present the handguns to the winners at the National ARMY Infantry Museum in Ft. Benning GA. As the winners are currently serving in various missions around the world their identity has been withheld.
